I-DROP Basics: Facilitating Drug Donation and Reuse in Illinois

The Illinois Drug Reuse Opportunity Program Act takes effect January 1, 2022.

No one is required to participate in I-DROP, but if you're someone who works in drug distribution, if you're someone who works with patients who can’t afford their meds, if you're anyone who wants to see unused medication to go patients in need instead of incinerators and landfills, you’ll want to join us on-line Wednesday, October 27th 2-3:15pm to learn the basics of how the Drug Reuse Opportunity Program Act can help you help patients and protect our environment.

This webinar is designed to educate pharmacists, physicians, nurses, local government officials, clinic operators, environmental advocates, public health officials, potential donor institutions, philanthropic institutions, and health network administrators, but all are welcome, including patients who want to donate their unused medication.

We’ll hear from national and Illinois-based experts in the areas of drug repositories, pharmacy regulation, charitable clinics, and drug disposal. We’ll cover the protocols, eligibility and roles of the entities involved. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions through the chat.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
